GREAT JAZZ IN THE HEART OF EAST SUSSEX!
HOW TO BUY TICKETS
Sussex Jazz – Latest News
A huge “Thank you” to all those who have regularly attended our jazz concerts; your support is very much appreciated. We would like to take this opportunity to share with you some important news about buying tickets for future events. We will introduce this change for the July 2025 gig onwards.
As demand for tickets continues to grow we have taken the difficult decision to move our ticket sales to TicketSource which is an online ticketing platform.
Why are we making this change?
- To date, our tickets have been sold either at Rushlake Green stores, and we are very grateful for their help, or direct from the organiser. As demand for tickets has grown this is proving more difficult to manage.
- Many people have favoured seats and tables and, whilst we are delighted that our loyal followers are inviting friends to join them, this has meant that we have more demand for certain tables than we can now accommodate.
What does this change mean for me?
- Tables and seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. We will let you know, by email, when tickets will go on sale and we would suggest that you buy as early as possible to secure your favoured spot.
- Unfortunately all ticket selling platforms charge a fee for their services. In this case, TicketSource charge 7%+VAT which means that it would normally cost you £21.68 to buy a ticket for £20. To reduce the impact of this charge, we have decided to share the cost with you 50/50. As a result, the cost to you of buying a ticket at £20 will be £20.84 and we will get £19.16 instead of £20. Thanks to our sponsor, we can budget for this reduction in ticket sales and do hope that it will make the transition more acceptable to you!
Can I choose my favourite seat or table?
- By using TicketSource, you will be able to book tickets at a time that is convenient to you. If your preferred seat is already sold, you will be able to choose an alternative that suits you best. If you are buying multiple tickets, you will be able to look for a table that has space to accommodate you and your friends. Clearly, the earlier you book, the more choice you will be offered.
How do I book & pay?
- On the home page of this site, as soon as tickets are made available there will be a clickable “BOOK NOW” button and that will take you through to a table plan where you can select the table and seat(s) you want. Proceed to payment – all major cards accepted. You will be given e-tickets which you can print at home.
What if I can’t book online?
- As a back-up, we will continue to offer an email address for the purchase of tickets but we will simply book through TicketSource on your behalf so the booking fee will still be necessary and payment by bank transfer will be required before the tickets are sourced.
We hope that you find the new booking system easy to use and that you agree that this is a much fairer way to allocate sought after seats.
Thanks again for your continued support.
